I like Seaham, and they are currently spending a wad of money to create a marina in a part of the old harbour, which is great. These photos indicate a link to the past perhaps, not the way that the town is generally moving.
These two gloves were lying on the sand - no human intervention on my part!
This is coal dust on the beach. I don't know if it due to the, now long discontinued, practice of tipping mining spoil into the sea or because there is an exposed seam underwater somewhere.
