The Lakes

Not quite in the NE of England, but close enough for a day trip! These shots were taken in late March, but it has taken a while for me to get some decent scans from Jessops. However persistence does pay off!









When the sun shines it has to be the nearest place to heaven on earth.

Roker Marina


I always struggle to get decent shots at the marina, it's nothing like as interesting as the old docks or North Shields fish quay, but, on this occasion the old rowing boat leads the eye into the frame quite nicely.

Tanfield Railway on Monday



On Thomas the Tank day, the best place to take photos on the Tanfield is amongst the collection of old vehicles parked behind the shed.

These horses live beneath the Metro line as it crosses a bridge on the climb up to Claxheugh Cutting near to Pallion in Sunderland.
